Keeping a viewing place on a shared browser
Viewing on a shared device can be tricky. Here's how to keep your viewing progress without disrupting others.
A saved viewing position is convenient, but a shared browser is not a private notebook. Before relying on a progress marker, ask where it is stored and who else can open the same browser profile. Different services can use local storage, an account, or both.
Distinguish the browser from an account
Drava's current public interface keeps some viewing history locally in the browser. That local list is not proof of a signed-in account, and a progress marker should not be used as evidence that someone else has accessed an account. Public account access remains unavailable while its replacement is reviewed.
The browser's localStorage mechanism can retain site data across visits. It belongs to a particular origin and browser context, not to a person merely because they recognize an entry. Switching devices or browser profiles may therefore show a different local list.
Consider other people using the profile
If several people share one browser profile, they may encounter the same locally saved entries. For a simple alternative, keep a private note of the episode number outside a shared profile, or use a separate browser profile appropriate to your device. Do not assume a local list provides account-level isolation.
Before leaving a borrowed device, check what you saved and what is still open. Avoid sharing screenshots that contain another person's viewing history or account details.
Clear data deliberately
Browser settings often let you remove data for a particular site. Read the selected options carefully: clearing site storage, cookies and cached files can be separate choices. Removing all browser data is a broader action and may sign you out of other services.
Deleting locally stored progress can remove the marker you hoped to return to. It does not prove that server records or backups have also been erased. Conversely, do not assume that a service using both local and account storage will preserve every progress record after you clear site data.
Check before relying on a saved place
Confirm the episode number and language version when you return. Treat progress as a convenience rather than a guarantee of synchronization or privacy. For more practical advice, explore our viewing guides.
FAQ
Does clearing local watch progress erase server records?
No. Browser data and server records are separate. Clearing local data is not proof that server records or backups were deleted.
